A Very Pretty Flowers

Calliopsis

Calliopsis is annual plant native to southwestern United States grown for its flowers. The flower resembles daisies having a purple red center and golden yellow rays.

It does well in a variety of soil conditions, but prefers sandy or well drained soils. Calliopsis is somewhat drought tolerant, but naturally growing plants are found where there is an abundance of rainfall. It will grow in partial shady conditions; however, prefers full sun. With its’ bright flowers and easy growing habits it has become increasingly favorite in gardens and landscape beautification projects.
